Built by Wide Open Cutoms by owner Jeff Bennett... this 1929 Model a Tudor Sedan is as well built as they come! In traditional fashion the tudor is a step back in time when Hotrods were simple, clean and cool. This all steel car has it all, the paint and body are a step above the rest. The body was chopped 3 inches and the roof was filled with a ribbed panel, the rear wheel arches were raised and the grille shell sectioned to match the channel of the body. The frame was hand built by Jeff starting with 1 1/2 x 4 inch rectangular tubing. It got a Super Bell 4 inch dropped axle and 40 Ford split wishbones. Big finned aluminum brakes were used on the front and stock rear drums from the 8 inch ford rear axle were used. Coilover shocks and 40 Ford radius rods complete the rear suspension. ET dragmaster wheels were used along with Firestone vintage tires from Coker Tire. The Mercury 276 Flathead was completely rebuilt using a Isky 400 JR camshaft and an Offy intake manifold. The headers were hand built by Jeff along with a complete exhaust system. A C-4 automatic transmission was mated to the flathead using a Speedway adapter. The car has the coolest custom interior using Black and Green accents from 55 Chevy seat inserts. Most of these type builds do not have a complete interior... this one is finished everywhere very nice and neat. A 1953 Ford passenger car Dash was cut down and smoothed to fit the cockpit. All of the lights, switches and gauges were used from the 53 dash as well as the steering column. All of the lights and gauges are in working order also. If your looking for a one of a kind built traditional style street rod look no further! This car is a multiple award winner and magazine feature car
